We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

• Name, email address, phone number, and postal address
• Property details for solar installation quotes
• Payment and billing information
• Communication preferences
• Information about your energy consumption and solar requirements

Information from Social Login (Facebook / Google):

If you choose to sign in using Facebook Login or Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your social account. We use this information solely to create and authenticate your account. We do not request access to your friends list, birthday, gender, or any other personal data beyond basic profile information. The permissions we request are limited to email and public_profile (standard login permissions). You can disconnect your social account from your profile settings at any time.

Facebook Lead Ads:

We run Facebook Lead Ad campaigns to help potential customers inquire about solar installations. When you submit a lead form on Facebook, we receive your name, email, and phone number through Meta's webhook system. This data is used exclusively to contact you regarding your solar installation inquiry and is stored securely in our CRM system.

Facebook Pixel:

We use Facebook Pixel (loaded via Google Tag Manager) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and deliver relevant ads. The Pixel collects anonymized data about page visits and conversions. You can opt out of Facebook ad tracking through your Facebook Ad Settings.

WhatsApp Business Messaging:

We use WhatsApp Business Cloud API (provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to communicate with customers. When you interact with us on WhatsApp or opt in to receive WhatsApp messages, we collect and process:

• Your WhatsApp phone number
• Messages, media, and documents you send to us via WhatsApp
• Your opt-in and opt-out preferences for WhatsApp communications
• Message delivery and read status

WhatsApp messages are processed through Meta's Cloud API infrastructure. Meta acts as a data processor and may store messages temporarily for delivery purposes in accordance with their Business Data Processing Terms. We store conversation data in our secure CRM system to provide customer support, process orders, and manage service requests.

This policy also covers the BL Solar Solutions Android app (com.blsolarsolutions.app). Everything above applies to the app as well; this section describes what is specific to it.

Approximate location:

If you tap "use my current location" while entering an address, the app reads your approximate location and sends those coordinates to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service, operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, purely to turn them into a pincode, city and state. We do not store the coordinates, we never request precise location, and the app never reads your location in the background. You can always type the address instead.

Analytics:

We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand how the app is used — which calculators are opened, whether a quote was requested, and whether a cart reached checkout. These events are not linked to your name or email, and the app does not collect an advertising identifier.

Crash and performance reporting:

We use Sentry to record crashes and performance problems so we can fix them. It is configured not to attach personal identifiers to those reports.

Push notifications:

If you allow notifications, the app registers a device token with Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send order and service updates. You choose which notifications you receive in the app's notification settings, and turning them off in your device settings stops them entirely.

Payments:

Payments are taken through Razorpay's own secure interface. Card details are entered there and never pass through the app or our servers — we receive only a confirmation we verify with Razorpay.

What the app does not collect:

The app does not access your camera, photos, contacts, microphone, precise location, or an advertising identifier.

Deleting your account from the app:

You can delete your account and personal data at any time from Account settings inside the app — no email required. Where Indian tax law requires us to retain a record of an order or invoice, that record is anonymised so it is no longer linked to you, rather than destroyed.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide solar installation quotes and consultations
• Process your orders and payments
• Schedule installations and maintenance services
• Send you updates about your projects and services
• Communicate with you via WhatsApp as described in our WhatsApp Messaging Policy below
• Improve our services and customer experience
• Comply with legal and regulatory requirements

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Your payment information is processed securely through encrypted payment gateways. We do not store complete credit card details on our servers.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Service providers who assist in our operations (installation partners, payment processors)
• Government authorities when required by UPNEDA or other regulatory compliance
• Legal entities when required by law or to protect our rights

The third parties that process data on our behalf:

• Razorpay — payment processing. Card details are entered directly with Razorpay and never reach our servers.
• Google — Sign-In, Firebase Analytics and Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications) in our Android app, and Google Tag Manager on this website.
• Meta Platforms, Inc. — Facebook Login, Lead Ads, Pixel, and WhatsApp Business Cloud API.
• Sentry — crash and performance diagnostics from our website and app.
• OpenStreetMap Foundation — receives approximate coordinates from the Nominatim geocoding service when you use "use my current location" in the app, as described above.

We use WhatsApp Business Cloud API to communicate with you. By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive messages from BL Solar Solutions on WhatsApp.

Types of messages we send:

• Transactional: Order confirmations, payment receipts, delivery updates, OTP verification
• Utility: Appointment reminders, service request updates, feedback requests
• Marketing: Product launches, offers, and subsidy updates (only with your explicit opt-in consent)

Opt-In & Opt-Out:

• Marketing messages are only sent to users who have explicitly opted in
• You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to any WhatsApp message
• You can also manage your WhatsApp communication preferences from your account settings
• Transactional messages related to active orders or services cannot be opted out of while the order/service is in progress

Data Retention:

WhatsApp conversation data is retained in our CRM system for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Conversations linked to orders or service requests are retained for the duration of applicable warranty periods. You may request deletion of your WhatsApp conversation history by contacting us (subject to legal retention requirements).
