Rooftop Solar Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design rooftop solar systems (1kW to 10kW) based on site survey data and customer requirements
• Conduct detailed site surveys including roof measurement, shading analysis, and structural assessment
• Prepare system layout drawings, single-line diagrams, and bill of materials
• Supervise installation teams to ensure quality workmanship and UPNEDA compliance
• Handle net metering applications, DISCOM coordination, and UPNEDA documentation
• Perform system commissioning, performance testing, and handover to customers
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with existing installations
• Train and mentor junior installers on best practices and safety standards

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in rooftop solar system design and installation supervision
• B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical or Renewable Energy Engineering
• Strong knowledge of solar PV system design, inverter sizing, and battery backup systems
• Experience with UPNEDA/DISCOM documentation and net metering process
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or PVsyst for system design (preferred)
• Knowledge of IS/IEC standards for solar PV installations
• Good communication skills for customer interactions and team coordination
• Must have a valid driving licence and be willing to travel across Lucknow district
